christmas chill

I'll be celebrating my Christmas in this ridge with my bestest of friends. It will be windy and COLD, but wine and cheap rhum will keep us warm...HOPEFULLY. On our menu: ham, quezoo de bola, mac & cheese, rice, apple chips, & italian biscotti. Weeeeee!!! Who says you can't have a feast on top of the mountains???! ^_^

heeeeeey! long time no post. ^__^ how is everyone?

My week has been pretty hectic. Started off with a hiking trip to Pico de Loro....which is undeniably one of my favorite places to go. This mountain offers an amazing 360 degrees view of its surrounding beaches and mountain ranges...and a blanket of stars at nightime. Simply breathtaking. Pico de Loro is parrot's beak in Spanish, referring to that huge boulder of rock that sprung out in the middle of nowhere some thousands of years ago.

I remember spending a crazy New year's eve (2008 i think) here. haha! Argh. I might just do that again........

Speaking of mountains and waterfalls........arrrrrrrrggghhh!! It's earth month! YAAYYYY!! I am sooo looking forward to it! Every year, my family goes to Earth Day Jam...it's some sort of errmmmm...music gathering for mother earth obviously. But it's nothing like Bonnaroo or Glastonbury though. I wish we have something like that here. That'd be soooo COOL!!



I will try to post something earth themed in the next few weeks...focusing more on environmental awareness and all that. Have I ever mentioned that my dream job is to work for a non government organization like WWF or Greenpeace???? ARRRRGH! If I have a career satisfaction meter, working with WWF would be the peak I guess. :) HIhihihi!

Been there, seen that. :)

Heeeey! zup bloglings? Nothin much here......Ive got girlie cramps at the moment and can't do anything productive. :( Boooo! Ive got a couple of DIY's lined up for my rest days but all I really want to do now is curl up in bed. *sigh*

Anyhow.....I want to leave you with these photos taken about 2 years ago from the peak of Mt. Kinabalu, Malaysia. Yeaah... other than card making and sewing stuffed animals, Im also into **drum roll please** mountain climbing....ha! :) I got a bunch of mountaineering equipment on my 18th birthday and I started climbing since then. I used to climb like every weekend and it's only this year that I haven't climbed much because of work and relationships and what not. And to be honest, I also kind of got tired of it......just a bit though. I know the great outdoors would ALWAYS have a special place in my heart no matter what and eventually, if I'll have children, I would want them to experience how wonderful it is to see the world from the top. :)



The sea of clouds......dont you just want to roll? Hehehhe! This was taken before sunrise at the peak. Mt. Kinabalu is the highest in Southeast Asia at 4000 plus meters....thats almost half of Everest. :) Beautifuuuul isn't it?

This part of the mountain is called the mossy forest and its just full of shrubs...its almost like a scene in LOTR or somethin.....especially once the fog goes down....amazing.

How fluffy are those clouds???! I dunno! hahahahah! But it feels good lying down like that...and do you see the rope? thats our safety line...ha!

Anywaaaaay.....snooozy time now! Ill be back tomorrow with some DIY cards and whatever I can come up with. :) Yay!
