Anyways, having said that, I managed to do some craft therapy today and this is my first attempt on making a dreamcatcher. Yay! Other than boho, I also love anything of aztec origin.
Native Americans believed that a dreamcatcher changes the person's dreams. Only good dreams can pass through the center hole, through the feathers, then to the person and bad dreams get trapped in the web where they perish by daylight.
What you need basically is a ring (or anything that can be made into a ring), sinew, scissors, feathers, leather strings, beads..
The weaving part is quite tricky but it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Full isntructions can be found here and here.
Mine is hanging nicely now on my headboard. :) YAAY!
