This is my attempt to make a catnip mousey for little Weenus. :) A catnip is basically an herb that makes domestic felines go nuts....well, just a bit euphoric actually. To humans, it would be like dope. :) It is usually wrapped in a mousy figure so lil kitty can play with it. I have been looking on google on whats the equivalent of catnip in the Philippines but couldnt find any. So this thing might not send Weenus to euphoria because I only stuffed it with some cushion! Hehehe..However, I am hoping she'd be entertained by the funky colors at least!! LOL! Are cats color blind???? I hope not!
So if youre feeling crafty for your kitty, here are the steps on how to make a catnip toy for your pet.
Things you need:
piece of cloth
scissors
needle and thread
a tiny ribbon for the mousy's tail
catnip or cushion
1) First, cut the cloth into square, then fold it into half.
2) Cut the cloth into a half heart just like the illustration below.
3) Then start stitching from the inside of the cloth. Leave a tiny hole just enough to stuff the cushion.
4) Stuff cushion. Then stitch the hole.
5) Attach tail.
